3. Submit your website to the search engines |
There are 2 possibilities:
a. Automatic search engine submission:
We use specially designed software to automatically submit your website to search engines and link directories. Our software keeps track of where and when your website is submitted.
Our experience tells us this is not to expect miracles but this is still a good way to increase your link popularity. Reciprocal links still are very important for search engines. Search engine spiders follow links to other websites so in a way you are giving them something to do. This is also how search engines measure the popularity of your website. A search engine will rank a website where 1,000 of 100,000 other websites link to higher than a website where 1 or 2 other websites link to. It's always a good idea to ask people you know or similar websites to yours to link to you and link back to them. You can never have enough reciprocal links. And since Submit It submits your website to so many search engines and link directories, you're already one step ahead of the competition. For the moment they have about 70,000 search engines and link directories in their database.
The worst thing you can do is submit your website too often. Don't submit your website every 2 or 3 months to the search engines. You will only risk getting banned. We can re-submit your website but only after 6 months. Even then we will always keep track of when and where your website has already been submitted and re-submit only to those search engines that allow it.
There are all kinds of tricks that once, a very long time ago, worked... but for a short time. Search engines know all of those tricks and have routines that ignore sites that use those tricks. Some of those tricks are repeating the same keyword, invisible text (white text on a white background), stuffing keywords in ALT tags, etc. Don't even think about it, you will lose in the end.

b. Manual search engine submission:
Often underestimated but very interesting to get good results is manual search engine submission. This simply means you surf to each search engines individually and you submit your website manually. We can also perform this job for you and we will submit your website to the top 25 search engines such as Google, Yahoo, MSN, AOL, AltaVista, Lycos, Netscape, Looksmart, Alltheweb, Hotbot, etc. The price is based on the fee the search engines charge us but also on the amount of work and time it requires us to get the job done. Only Yahoo! charges $299 and that's just one of 25 search engines.
